Anamaria Golemac Powell
Anamaria Golemac Powell studied Art at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg Virginia where she received her Bachelors Degree. In addition to becoming an accomplished artist who has exhibited her work in the United States and in Europe, she has also earned a Masters Degree in State Management and Humanitarian Affairs at the Universita di Roma and the University of Sarajevo. She is one of the founding members of the organization TRUST, an association of citizens, artists and businesses based in Sarajevo to promote the preservation of music, art, culture and humanity in post-war Bosnia. In collaboration with photographer Jim Marshall she has created the book cover for Plamen Press’s release of The Ratcatcher by Viktor Dyk. She is also working with Plamen Press on the artistic design of Vitezslav Nezval’s collection of poems Farewell and a Handkerchief – Poems from a Journey. She is also currently working on her online exhibition and gallery, showcasing her current work. We will keep you posted of this endeavor. She lives and creates in Sarajevo with her husband and two children.
